Gail Wolf

Gail Wolf is an entrepreneur, business owner, textile artisan, gardener, and community volunteer who has spent nearly five decades helping build successful businesses, beautiful homes, welcoming environments, and lasting relationships throughout Sonoma Valley.

Creativity and design have been part of Gail's life from the very beginning. Her father was studying graphic design in college before the Great Depression interrupted his education and changed the course of his career, while her mother was an accomplished seamstress who introduced Gail to sewing as a young child. Surrounded by creativity, craftsmanship, and resourcefulness from an early age, Gail developed a lifelong appreciation for textiles, design, and the art of making beautiful things by hand. As a teenager, she sewed professionally for interior designers through her mother's business and later created couture garments and custom clothing, building a strong foundation in creativity, precision, and attention to detail.

Together, Gail and her husband Steve have spent more than six decades designing, furnishing, decorating, renovating, and caring for homes. Their shared passion for hospitality, entertaining, gardening, and gracious living has shaped not only their own homes but also the experiences of countless family members, friends, clients, and guests.

In 1976, Gail and Steve co-founded Sonoma Rental Center with Jim and Michelle Hanson, helping establish one of Sonoma Valley's most respected equipment rental businesses. Later, after Steve conceived the idea for Wine Country Party and transitioned into real estate, Gail played a central role in building the company into one of Northern California's most respected hospitality and event rental businesses. Through these ventures, she developed lasting relationships throughout Sonoma Valley's hospitality, wine, and event communities while helping support the growth of the region's emerging hospitality industry. Today, Wine Country Party's legacy continues as part of Bright Event Rentals, one of the nation's leading event rental companies.

Gail joined Heather's design business in December 1997, bringing decades of experience in textiles, decorating, hospitality, entertaining, business ownership, and client service. Over the years, she has remained an integral part of the company's evolution, contributing to client care, charitable initiatives, operations, outfitting, and the creation of welcoming and gracious living environments. She has also helped coordinate Kearsley's support of numerous nonprofit organizations through product donations, fundraising events, auctions, and community partnerships.

Today, Gail continues to share her experience, creativity, and hospitality as part of the Kearsley Home team, helping carry forward the values that have defined the company for nearly three decades.

Gail has spent a lifetime tending the practical and beautiful rhythms of home. An accomplished gardener, flower arranger, baker, and cook, she finds joy in growing food, preserving the harvest, creating homemade jams and preserves, canning fruits and vegetables, and preparing nourishing meals for family and friends. A dedicated composter and lifelong steward of the land, she believes in making thoughtful use of nature's abundance and sharing it generously with others.

A passionate gardener and advocate for sustainable living, Gail has been a Master Gardener and has volunteered extensively through educational programs, community outreach, local demonstration gardens, gardening help lines, and gardening support services. Together, Steve and Gail have spent decades cultivating extensive gardens and landscapes guided by a commitment to sustainability, pollinator support, soil health, water conservation, and responsible stewardship of the land.

Community service has always been an important part of Gail's life. She and Steve have served as mentors through the Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance and have devoted countless hours to supporting local arts, education, and community organizations. Gail has also volunteered extensively in support of the performing arts. Together, Steve and Gail have been members of the Sonoma Valley Chorale for more than thirty years, sharing their love of music, community, and lifelong learning.

Known for her warmth, generosity, creativity, and unwavering attention to detail, Gail brings a unique combination of hospitality, business experience, design sensibility, and genuine care to every relationship. Her lifelong love of textiles, entertaining, gardening, hospitality, and community continues to influence the welcoming and gracious spirit that defines Kearsley Home today.

Gail and Steve have been married since 1961 and have treasured every chapter of family life together as parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. In the five decades since they came to Sonoma County in 1974, Gail has brought that same warmth, generosity, and devotion to the businesses she has built, the homes she has cared for, and everything she touches at Kearsley Home.
