Custom, Bespoke & Couture Embroidery
Whether you call it custom (American), bespoke (British), or couture (French), the meaning remains the same—tailored luxury, designed just for you.
At Kearsley, we offer a curated selection of fine linens in a variety of fabrics, colors, and time-honored embroidery and appliqué designs. For those seeking a personalized touch, we also provide custom embroidery options to incorporate unique motifs or details into our linens and jacquards.
Our artisans use the finest threads—including long-staple cotton, silk, polyester, and rayon—to ensure durability and beauty. Bed linens are embroidered using 12-13" hoops, ensuring patterns align seamlessly. For corners and intricate details, our expert operators employ hand-guided techniques for an impeccable finish.
Pricing & Sampling
Embroidery pricing is based on stitch count, with intricate patterns requiring more time and precision. To ensure perfection, we offer digital and physical strike-offs before final production (fees apply).
For custom embroidery inquiries, contact us—we are happy to discuss options to create a refined, elegant design that complements your project.

Heather designed this versatile jacquard to complement a variety of interiors. Inspired by the sun’s radiance, Soleil—French for "sun"—features an abstract interpretation of sun rays. Available in white, it serves as a brilliant border, pairing effortlessly with our full range of colors.

We love contrasting cuffs—they can be subtle and elegant or make a bold statement. Embellished with embroidery or left unadorned, they add a refined touch to any bedding. While it's ideal to use a similar weave and thread count, we also love the look of a jacquard cuff on a plain pillowcase for added texture and contrast.

The Kearsley team enjoys creating elegant contrasting banded linens, with designs ranging from subtle to bold. For the best results, contrasting bands must be made from fabrics of the same weave and similar thread counts to maintain a seamless look and feel. Here are a few examples.

A contrasting stitch adds a refined touch, turning each detail into an artful statement against the luxurious linen canvas. Using threads in tones that stand out against the fabric’s natural hues, these delicate yet striking stitches bring sophistication and depth. The contrast highlights intricate details, creating a timeless, elegant finish—a subtle expression of luxury and craftsmanship.

Hemstitch and picotine are exquisite techniques that add refined detail to table and bed linens. Hemstitching creates a delicate, airy border by carefully pulling out parallel threads and securing the edges with intricate stitching. This timeless method enhances linens with elegance and sophistication, making them a beautiful addition to any setting.

At Kearsley, we use the flat welt technique to add sophistication and refinement to linens and fabrics. By attaching a flat strip of complementary or contrasting fabric along the edges, this technique creates a clean, tailored frame that subtly enhances color and texture. Though it requires precision in cutting and sewing, the result is a polished, luxurious finish that elevates any piece.

The Classic Satin Stitch is a versatile detail that can complement, contrast, or highlight fine linens. It serves as a tailored accent to an appliqué border or stands beautifully on its own in single, double, or triple rows. Over the years, we’ve enjoyed collaborating with designers and private clients to create stunning satin stitch designs. Our Kensington detail pairs a wider hemstitch with a fine satin stitch, reminiscent of the refined craftsmanship of Savile Row tailoring.
